“German FinTech meets China” – Kick-off event of the German-Chinese High-Tech Alliance in Frankfurt

On 13 August 2019, the newly established Chinese-German High-Tech Alliance e.V. (GCHA) held its kick-off event at WeWork in Frankfurt. Topic of the night was “German FinTech meets China”. More than hundred participants joined the event.


GCHA invited representatives of two Chinese and two German companies to share their insights and experiences in the fintech industry: Jeff HU (Regional Director EMEA, WeChat Pay), Georg SCHARDT (Chief Commercial Officer, Blue Code International), Gil RÖDER (Chief Product Officer, Ginmon) and Tim A. FONGERN (Managing Partner Germany, Sheng Heng Law Firm).


The event was friendly supported by the Chinese consulate general in Frankfurt am Main and sponsored by WeWork, Air China and Ms ZHANG (commercial representative of OptimHome and Schwäbisch Hall).


GCHA is a non-profit organization that was established in 2018 by Chinese and German entrepreneurs in Frankfurt am Main. Its objective is to enhance and improve the exchange, mutual understanding and cooperation between professionals mainly in the fields of digitalization, smart factory, AI, fintech, greentech, life sciences, and e-mobility both from China and Germany.
